You are not controlled by your emotions.
You are controlled by the story your mind creates about them.
A feeling appears.
And before you realise it…
your mind has already explained it.
“This will go wrong.”
“They’ll judge me.”
“I can’t handle this.
The Moment You Notice
This is the moment everything changes.
You see the thought forming
before it becomes something you believe.
Choice
Instead of reacting automatically,
you pause… and choose.
Freedom
Freedom isn’t removing emotion.
It’s no longer being controlled by it.
The Pattern Behind Our Reactions
Understanding this pattern is the first step to changing it.
Wave
The emotional reaction appears; anxiety, frustration, embarrassment, fear.
Thunder
Underneath the emotion sits a deeper fear: judgement, rejection, failure, or not being enough.
Cloud
The mind creates meaning around the feeling.
"This will go wrong."
"They'll judge me."
"I can't handle this."
The Moment You Notice
This is the turning point. Awareness interrupts the pattern.
Choice
Instead of reacting automatically, you begin to respond consciously.
Freedom
Freedom isn't the absence of emotion. It's the ability to choose your response.
How the pattern happens
This pattern happens faster than you realize.
You send someone a message
and don’t get a reply.
Wave
Unease appears.
Thunder
A deeper fear surfaces: rejection.
Cloud
“They’re ignoring me.”
Reaction
Frustration. Withdrawal. Overthinking.
But if you notice the story forming, something changes.
You pause.
And that pause gives you a choice.
Most people try to control their reactions. I help you understand what creates them.
The Moment You Notice
A 7-Day Reset for Overthinking & Emotional Loops
Most emotional spirals begin long before we realise.
A feeling appears.
Your mind reacts.
Then a story forms.
This guided 7-day reset is designed to help you recognise those patterns before they quietly take over your thoughts, emotions, and behaviour.
Through simple daily reflections and awareness exercises, you’ll begin creating space between the feeling, the reaction, and the story.
Because once you notice what’s happening…
you have a choice.
How I Help
I work with people who are tired of feeling controlled by their reactions.
Together we explore:
• How emotional waves trigger automatic responses
• The stories the mind creates under pressure
• The moment awareness interrupts the pattern
• How to pause before reacting
• How to respond with clarity instead of impulse
The goal isn't to remove emotion.
The goal is to understand it well enough to choose your response.
About Me - My Story
I’m fascinated by the moment between emotion and reaction.
For many years, like most people, I believed reactions were automatic.
Fear appears.
The mind explains it.
And behaviour follows.
It felt like a full stop.
But the more I explored mindset, behaviour and emotional patterns, the clearer something became.
There is always a moment before the reaction.
A brief space where awareness can interrupt the pattern.
That realisation changed how I understood my own thinking and behaviour.
Now my work focuses on helping people recognize that moment, understand the patterns behind their reactions, and create space for more thoughtful choices.
Because when you understand how your mind works, you stop feeling controlled by it.
Testimonials
"Working with Charlotte helped me realise how quickly my mind jumps to conclusions. I used to react immediately to stress or conflict, but learning to notice that moment before the reaction has made a huge difference. I feel calmer and more in control of how I respond."
— Sarah L., Surrey
"What stood out to me was how simple but powerful the concept was. I had never noticed the ‘story’ my mind creates after an emotion. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. That awareness alone has helped me change how I deal with pressure at work and at home."
— Mark D., London
"Charlotte helped me understand that my reactions weren’t just about the situation , they were about the meaning I was attaching to it. Learning to pause and notice that moment has helped me step back instead of spiraling into overthinking."
— Hannah P., Bristol
"I found the sessions surprisingly practical. It wasn’t about analysing everything forever , it was about recognising patterns in real time. I now catch myself before reacting in ways I used to regret."
— James W., Manchester
